Hell Yes

This is a bit similar to my last post, but I couldn’t resist sharing it. Archive.org has a catalog of bicycle components and accessories that was printed in 1900. I’m not surprised that there is a whole page just for Brooks saddles and they look pretty damn close to what they look like now (page 37.) The real shocker was when I got to page 55 and realized that they were selling acetylene gas lanterns for bicycles. See it all right here. Daaaaaaaaaaaamn
What are your plans when they invent the 650 dollar bill? My plan is to head down to my local Criterion Shop* and pick this up. “Essential Art House: 50 Years of Janus Films” is exactly what it sounds like. It’s basically worth it just for “Jules and Jim.”

*Perez, calm down, this isn’t a real thing.

My favorite part? Probably the fart noise at 0:25.
Back On The Road
Restless Collective, the fine folks behind Project Tandem are on the move again. This time they are collecting the stories of twenty-somethings around the world for a project they call The Geography of Youth. Sadly, travelling the world by bicycle to tell the stories of a powerful generation does not fund itself. Watch the video below, then head over to their Kickstarter page and front some cash.
Again, donate some cash at Restless Collective’s Kickstarter page.
